A Lifelong Dedication to Innovation in Vehicle Dynamics

Yasu Mitsuhashi, the founder of InovaLigo, hails from Kanagawa, Japan, where his lifelong passion for vehicle dynamics began. Since his student days, he has been deeply committed to researching this field, which has now evolved into 17 years of professional expertise in computational technologies and vehicle dynamics.

Mitsuhashi developed groundbreaking technologies that propelled Yamaha Motor’s MotoGP group to achieve a triple crown in 2015. He later contributed to the development of vehicle dynamics-related products at MathWorks, combining his academic foundation with extensive industry experience.
Driven by a passion to tackle the toughest technical challenges and deliver “success that gives you chills,” Mitsuhashi established InovaLigo—a consulting firm dedicated to providing flexible and tailored solutions for complex engineering problems. His unique perspective and wealth of knowledge ensure innovative and effective results for every project.

Achieved the Triple Crown in MotoGP – 2015

Developed groundbreaking technologies that enabled Yamaha Motor’s MotoGP group to achieve the prestigious Triple Crown. Played a key role in the victories of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.


Developed MathWorks’ First Motorcycle Product – 2019

Realized the development of a simulation product for motorcycle dynamics, an area MathWorks had not previously explored. Enabled new solutions and broadened customer reach significantly.


Achieved High Visibility by Consolidating Expertise – 2023

Developed an AI model for motorcycle riders using deep reinforcement learning and presented the research at JSAE. Received an Excellence Award. Utilized motorcycle products developed at MathWorks in the research.

For many years, human behavior has been a significant bottleneck in the field of motorcycle dynamics calculations. InovaLigo is addressing this challenge through deep reinforcement learning. At this 2023 conference, we presented our work as part of a collaborative research project with Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
